We received a call from a customer who had used JSL for plumbing services in the past. They had just received the keys to their new home in Pollokshields and were understandably very excited. As it was the depths of winter, one of the first things they did was turn on the heating system (the house had sat empty for a number of months before the sale was finalised).
Sadly for the new resident, the boiler had been leaking for a long time and had corroded some of the internals. No heating system in the middle of winter – a disaster for anyone.
We were called out to have a look and duly got to fixing the issue. Sadly the boiler needed a few new parts, none of which we could obtain at such short notice so we left our air heater so that the customer did not get frozen solid over night and we promptly returned the next morning with the new parts. The parts were replaced and by lunchtime the boiler was ‘purring like a kitten’ once again. So by the evening the house was nice and toasty and the customer could begin celebrating the big move into their new home.
